Our chief, Joseph J. Kansak, has over 40 years of combined law enforcement and security experience. From working with the Wilmington Police Department in both patrol and SWAT teams, to establishing the Dewey Beach Police Department in 1981, his experience and relations with local and state law enforcement agencies allow Resort Patrol Officers to stand above others in their field.

All of our officers are trained to DSP Professional Licensing standards in all fields including general unarmed security, handcuffing, OC spray, and armed security. They are dedicated to resolving conflict peacefully with minimal intervention, providing a visible deterrent to criminal activity, and acting as a contact for members of the public and their complaints or requests.
